Our Mission

In a small island, where the impact of development on land is
strongly felt, where rural areas enhance the characteristic
beauty of the Maltese environment, where the sea and
its produce are an intrinsic part of life, the integrated
coordination of agricultural and fisheries production, rural
and environmental management is a tremendous
responsibility. All the more so, in the context of the
environmental and agriculture European Union Acquis.
This Ministry has been entrusted with
spearheading that which is essential for our quality of life.
